31/1/16

On Friday we met with the painting contractor and project manager to outline the project start and process. There are still some points to be clarified but the start date of 15th February is still on track.

We will be mailing a notice to owners this coming week, informing them of what will be happening around the complex and what responsibilities residents have in moving and protecting their posessions on the balconies.

The notice will also be placed in the lifts and here on the website for tenants and residents. There will be about 5 or 6 tradesmen coming and going every day and they have a strict code of conduct to follow so that there is minimal impact on residents.

The project is expected to take about 20 weeks to complete depending on weather conditions. There is some discussion about which building will be started first, but I will inform you as soon as possible.

The first stage of the project will be in erecting the scaffolding which will cover the width of 2 stairwells. Once that section is completed, the scaffolding is pulled down and erected at the next section of building. Each section will take around 2 to 3 weeks depending on the weather.

I'm looking forward to seeing it all happen and will give you another update as soon as I can.
