The following notice was placed in lifts, in the gym and on the website.
We wish to advise residents of a trial area which has been set up specifically for the flushing of boat and jet ski engines.
This has resulted from the need of some residents to perform this task, and the committee also wishing to address complaints caused when the car wash area near the swimming pool was used for this purpose. This area is not suitable because of the noise generated by running engines, and resulted in recent changes made to the By-laws.
The trial area is the section of grass in front of the water feature at the entrance to the complex. A hose reel has been installed on the wall to the left of the water feature for the sole purpose of flushing boat/jet ski engines. The hose is not to be used for any other purpose (eg boat/jet ski washing, car washing, etc).
The trial period will be until the end of March 2016, and the hours available to use this facility are from 7am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 8pm on weekends and public holidays.
Residents who wish to use this facility are requested to rewind the hose after using it, and to keep the grass area clean and tidy. This area will be monitored during the trial period, and if necessary, the hose will be removed.
Residents are reminded that the car wash area cannot be used for the flushing of boat or jet ski engines because of the noise created (refer to By-law 2.5).
